I dont know much about gaming pc's. Never had one since I prefer laptops over desktops and gaming laptops are crazy expensive. But I just bought this over black friday, although it has not arrived yet.

Can anybody tell me how well this might perform. I know it wont be ps4/x1 level, but can this at least reach some new games at 720p?

Not that familiar with AMD processors. You'll be able to run Valve, Blizzard and indie games quite well. Badly optimized triple AAA zomg graphics games will suffer but they play bad on top end stuff too. So yes, you can probably run some of the newer games at medium-low.

So I should not have bought a big screen 1080p tv then :p

o well. It has to be better than my ps3 for sure anyways, so Im happy. My current laptop its at its limit so I needed a new one before a ps4 so I'm content with the result and can wait a bit longer for a ps4.
