b/c nintendo's a wildly successful company for what it is (contrary to what people say on forums) and has been for almost as long as it will continue to be. it will continue to be, incidentally, precisely because its executives do not put any stock in idle forum chatter.
oh and b/c they come off as elitist to people who make/play mediocre games. i remember the fez guy, who's a joke, publicly saying that japanese games suck, for example. so there's that.
