HYPE YOU BASTARDS!!!!!
Gran Turismo 7 For PS4 Might Debut at PlayStation Experience
Today Gran Turismo 6 won a Gold Prize at the PlayStation Awards for selling more than 500,000 copies in Japan, but something was missing.
To be more precise, “someone” was missing. When the award was announced, everyone expected the series’ creator Kazunori Yamauchi to appear on the stage, but he didn’t. On his place, a trio of developers spearheaded by Lead Engineer Shuichi Takano accepted the award.
Takano-san mentioned in his acceptance speech that Yamauchi-san couldn’t be present, and while he did not give any detail, there’s one quite likely reason for his absence.
The only cause that come to mind is that Yamauchi-san might be in Vegas, getting ready to officially showcase Grand Turismo 7 for PlayStation 4 at PlayStation Experience.
Of course we have no way to know if that’s really the case, but there aren’t many other likely reasons coming to mind for Yamauchi-san to be absent while his team receives one of the most prestigious prizes within the Japanese gaming industry.
We’ll probably know in a couple of days whether I saw correctly through Sony’s ploy or not. In the meanwhile Takano-san also explained that the team wants to meet expectations with its next game on PS4.

I would love to see GT7 Prologue at PSX but this news just doesn't stand. Andrew House and Yoshinori Ono were at the Playstation Awards and they will also be at the PSX. Kazunori couldn't make it probably because he had poney riding class at the same time! That sound more realistic.

Kaz said there wouldn't be a Prologue for the next GT game, it's going to be a full Gran Turismo release.
As for logicaly reasons why Kaz wasn't at the awards, if he's deep in preparing for PSX then he may not have had the time to go there, the preparation for the event could be right up to the wire. All of these people have their own separate schedules, so just because Yoshinori was at the awards that doesn't have any baring on a separate studio head's lack of presence at that event.
Andrew House is even less of a reasonable comparison to compare to a developer.
It's not a stretch to go either way really, to one degree saying that Kaz could have been busy preparing something big for the Experience event or that soemething else came up and that's why he couldn't make it. TBH I think if GT was going to be unveiled then it's going to be a huge part of the event, probably something that gets quite a lot of stage time and it does have the potential to be a 2015 release, as Kaz has indicated.
