| LudicrousSpeed said: Of course it goes both ways with some. For example, in that thread from July of 2013 or something someone just linked, you posted in there that PC/360 games are irrelevant because most people have PC's. Does that also make a majority of these PS4 games irrelevant in list warz? Apparently so, unless you've changed your mind. The double standard is only relevant because it seems a majority of users here are Sony fans (or, at worst, they vastly outnumber Xbox guys) so it doesn't really matter what Xbox guys say, their posts are outnumbered. So last gen the general consensus here was indie games and "console exclusives" were irrelevant. Now this gen the general consensus has changed, because there are more Sony users here than MS, and now Sony has a lot of those games that were irrelevant in the past. For the most part I think those of us praising indies last gen on Xbox are still fans of indies. You're way off base there. But our input does not speak for the forum, we are a minority. |
Depends on the type of comparison being made. In a direct [x] -> [y] exclusive comparison, they should be included. When compared as 2 product out of many however, they should be excluded. Hence in my metacritic thread i have separate sections for 'console exclusive' and 'true exclusive' (though i haven't made the 'true' list for the 8th gen yet, due to the PS4 and X1 having so few).
In the case of this thread, which is a comparison of "all" games, obviously they should be included. I do, however, think a distinction should be made between indie and AAA titles, if only for the sake of clarity.
