By the way, can someone explain to me the strange logic behind their "Top 10" charts?
In the "Xbox games" section, the Top 3 most searched terms are "Minecraft" (#1), "The Walking Dead: Season 2" (#2) and "Plants vs. Zombies" (#3). Yet in the more general "video games" section, none of these games is even mentioned?
On the other hand, why is "Halo: Master Chief Collection" - as far as I know, a Xbox exclusive title - the #3 most searched "video game", but only the #7 most searched "Xbox game"?
How on earth is "Grand Theft Auto V" (about 8 million search results on BING) only the #10 most searched video game on BING, a game called "Terraria" (never heard of it, just about 1 million search results on BING) #4?
Seriously, I just don't understand the logic behind that ranking. If they would at least publish some number for each entry and explain the algorithm behind the ranking, I might give it some credibility. But the way it is currently being done is simply not trustworthy. I wouldn't even rule out the possibility that the ranking was actually rather created/modified by humans, rather than sticking 1:1 to the total number of search queries.
There's no transparency at all, to me, that was just another proof of why Google is still much better/credible than BING, even though I don't even like Google and would happily use another search engine.
