The reason is not the internet gaming community, but the massive overhyping of their games by their respective publishers. Of course if the games can't meet the hype (in most cases they had been so overhyped that they can't even come close to this), it is absolutly normal that people will shit about them, even though they are shitting on the wrong target (the devs instead of their publishers)
