Japan: PS3 Passes 2 Million, PSP Selling Like Hotcakes

It's only been a year and a half. How much did the GC sell in its lifetime in Japan?

 just over 4 million, but second place systems in Japan have a history of dying out quicker than other places in the world.  We saw it happen to the GC, Saturn, N64, Dreamcast etc.  Japan tends to heavily support 1 system with the second place system pretty far back, and this gen has been no exception so far.

 and yea...the PS3 is tracking slightly behind GC.
