Do they? Perhaps some do? Xbox 360 got a huge head start and did very well in the US, not because it's MS, but because it basically had no competition, PS3 launch was a catastrophe, not to mention a year later. Xbox 360 had no competition for a long time, it built a solid base because folks didn't really have anywhere else to go. This time around however, it's a level playing field and Xbox is getting predictably trounced, despite having had a very large base in the US via their last console. Sure, MS is doing anything they can to try and catch up, dumping tons of money into it, but they don't get a free ride this time.
