Bullshit! The reason why we have unoptimized games is because we have por developers. Dont try and put words in my mouth, when its obvious thats not what I have wrote.

60 FPS is not a better option, its a jmeaningless option in most games, as a better loking and stable 30 FPS game beats a crappy looking or fluctuating 60fps game any day. Its a facty, both reviewers and the general gaming comunity accepts it, seeing that there aere plenty multi-billion franchises that are locked at 30 fps

The last thing you should do is talking about what the gaming cammunity accepts because if you check the best selling franchises 90% of them are Nİntendo games which are almost always 60 FPS, and then the Call of Duty games which are 60 FPS as well, and then Gran Turismo etc which are also 60 FPS. Then the Battlefield, Fifa etc. are also 60 FPS. In fact apart from GTA you'll have difficulty finding a 30 FPS game in any best selling games chart. Seriously.

You mean GTA as the biggest franchise at the moment? Or MMORPGs that pretty jmuch dominate the market at this time and most of them are played on netbooks? Or the hudnerds of new mobile IPs that have an income higher than most mid-size publishers and run perfectly fine on an old iPod 4? Chose your poison, you can find plenty. the thing is the gaming industry is not the small, hermetically sealed hobby you are used to

PS: we are derailing the thread... it all started out from PC fps locking and we arrived at this :|

I don't really know what you are talking about, honestly. Where is your proof that the majority of the MMORPGs are played on netbooks? Even saying the laptops make the majority of the userbase would be reaching and on PC you cannot know how much of them are played on 60 FPS. Low FPS is fatal in most MMORPG games.  They are very scalable to reach a huge market and they can be run at 60 FPS even on the crappiest computers. They have to.

GTA is not the biggest franchise at the moment, Call of Duty is. It is not even close. YOu have a single game to cling to. I provided you a few franchises that get close to 1 billion (may be even over). Without even counting all the PC games.

So now that it is understood that your argument is just wrong, yeah I agree that we have derailed the thread a bit.
