None of them on the list would have ever formed if not for Nintendo for the sole reason that the video game industry would have been dead before it even really got started without them. But yep, Ubisoft is the better and more important publisher alright! Can't deny the way Assassin's Creed has been the most successful and revolutionary franchise in gaming history. Oh wait, that's Mario. Ubisoft is responsible for that franchise too though right? Oh wait that's Rayman.
