and the nfl deal is mainly about the surface. the xbox is "only" the official console of the nfl and get some more support for apps and the co marketing

Everyone who has seen the Surface seems to really like it... but they are very expensive if you want more memory.  They are very fast though and very responsive.   Also, as long as your expectations are realistic, it can be a decent gaming platform.
