I don't understand this thread, sci-fi is fantasy unless you think that sci-fi movies/games are an accurate depiction of what the future will look like.
And there are a lot of games that combine magic with science (Metroid Prime 3: planet Bryyo, Mogenar).
Is a Mario game considered fantasy to you? Or are you strictly speaking of your typical rpg like Final Fantasy here?
