By the "narrow definition" of it? How about just by "the definition" of it? It is a game. The end.
I absolutely agree that Brain Age is a different type of game than many other video games. That does not change, in any way, the fact that Brain Age is a game. Using your logic, any game that falls outside the traditionally popular video games isn't a game. Saying "Brain Age isn't like other games!" does not make it fit the definition of "game" any less.
And yes, calling it a mini-game collection would be much better. Thank you.
