Sure, because selling a console at a loss + 2 free games is lucrative. 

You always sell at a loss consoles... This market is like the printer market.. You don't make or very little money on the device you capitalize on the consumable and services behind... But yeah you a right Sony is so good at making profit that their yearly results blind us with all that money they make... Pretty sure MS capitalize more by ratio on games and service purchased after the purchase of the initial console than Sony...

What a dumb strawman. You dont always sell a console at loss, thats ridiculous. You usually sell at loss during the launch and first year probably, only this time Sony is already making profit per PS4 sold. 

And the point is not wheter or not Sony is making money (they are with the PS4, which is only thing relevant in this discussion, other divisions are dragging them down) but the losses mirosoft is willing to take with the xbox just to create a bigger userbase than the PS4 and its still failing
