Generally most Mature rated games are pretty light on the blood and gore, probably around the level of a PG 13 movie and to that I have no problem with. There seems to be a lot of variation in how graphic content can be once it's rated M which is why I think the ESRB system as is, is pretty flawed when games like Halo and Call of Duty are rated the same as games like The Evil Within or Mortal Kombat.
