As of May 2014, Nintendo is making profit on each Wii U sold, so even if they sell under 20k a week they could still make profit. Before this they were having big losses since they used to be selling Wii U's at a loss. And for the second question, yes, they release seperate numbers for each systems every quarter

The Wii u is not making a profit -  this Info is in their fiscal year end financials and in Iwatas investor Q and A-   

However, if the Wii u was selling at a profit 20, 000 sales per week would not be enough for a net profit - Nintenso is not a small company and between R and D, marketing , general admin ect 20k would not be enough to met a profit
