#35: God of War (Santa Monica Studio, 2005) - PS2/PS3

Much like Burnout 3, I also saw gameplay videos of God of War before I even had a PS2. I was MIND-BLOWED by the videos, so I made sure to make this one of my first PS2 games. And I was not disappointed. I've always been fascinated by the greek mythology, so that's already a plus in my book. The gameplay was tight and entertaining, the bosses were mind-blowing (and it began the series' tradition of starting the games with an awesome boss), and the story really entertained me, though I couldn't fully appreciate it at the time, as my english was not that good and there were no subtitles. To this day, it's one of my favorite series. Nowadays, the first game is a little rough around the edges, because of some minor things (not being able to descend from climbable walls faster, for example), and looking back, the Hydra is not as impressive as the Colossus of Rhodes or Poseidon. Still an awesome game though.

#34: this game's cutscenes can be potentially hilarious - but I'm fairly sure the developers didn't intend this.
