When will Sony Officially Cut the Price of PS4 to $299 / EUR299 / GBP249?

They will likely cut it to $299 when they launch the PS4 slim, which will likely be a selling point come holiday 2016. No need to slash the prices during 2015 when you have huge games coming out to move consoles.
