New console models generally coincide with price cuts.

The newer Xbox 360 models didn't get much smaller by the way. The new look and quieter hardware was more of an incentive to buy a new model 360 than size.

strange that pricecuts didn't help the x1 then. Maybe you're incorrect?

I don't understand what you're saying, elaborate.

Well, you're countering my point by saying that slim consoles draw more sales due to coinciding price cuts. I'm countering that the 100$ price "alleviation" didn't help x1....which if you look back, is true.
So, I'm saying, maybe price cuts don't actually affect sales all the time, and in turn, I'm saying that maybe you're not as correct as you think you are. Does that make sense, or no?

Conversely there was also that time when ms announced the 360 slim and cut the price of the console above to match the new slim price, yet sales didn't increase until the slim.
