PS4 controller battery life is absolutely horrendous

I get a bit more out of the controller than that, 8 hours or so. Dim the light bar, set to auto off after 10 minutes of inactivity. (I leave the speaker on max though, fun feature)
I have 2 controllers, so one is always charging from my laptop unless we're playing co-op.
