I changed the internal CELL of the battery of my SIXAXIS with a 3,7V battery of a Creative Zen Microphoto genuine 860mAh battery (used original circuit board of the battery pack) to get a lot more time, A LOT; don't trust chinese websites, they sell 3800mAh batteries that are 900mAh..... they also might explode....don't go TOO CHEAP if you want an UPGRADE.......

Every micro usb charger HAS the 5V tension, the variable is only the maximum current it can give you (and the quality/stability of current, avoid ripple effects, etc, not a big problem with a consumer device like a DS4), but it is regulater on the controller motherboard, so with PS4 you don't need the controller to get enumerated like when you connect to PC to charge right? (phone chargers WON'T WORK with PS3 controller no matter the brand)

I suggest you people take out the rumble motors or just leave a phone wall charger close to the sofa.

PS:

well there is one chinese website that sell the battery for DS3 that works with DS4 and that product has very good feedback for battery life on dual shock 4, the website is "dealextreme".

....of course they say 1800mAh, that can't be true, more like 1200mAh for that cheap price.

bottom end: you already have probably more than 5 phone batteries in the house that have similar lithium cell characteristics of the original sony batteries, it's just a matter of research and skill, manufacturers are cheating you all, to spend more, lithium batteries (cell only) are probably  the same characteristics on different manufacturers the charging method is ALWAYS THE SAME for all lithium batteries.

I just wrote what I found out with my hands with psp/ps3 batteries etc, they work if changed but do not exceed the double of the original capacity (mAhX2 max) to be safer, that applies only to those small devices of course.

Persona 5 on PS3, I won't need next gen!
