ICStats:
Basically, you said this:
"The XB1 is oversized so that it can be more quiet. Remember, the've designed the XB1 to be on all the time while you watch TV."
i said "large fan...heat dissipation at the decibel level is unbeatable."
You said "The XB1 has a lot more vent space than PS4 so there is more air getting to the fan. PS4 runs at higher air pressure / speed needed through the vents."
Just at your third post you changed "oversized = more quiet", to "vent space = quieter"
I said "PS4 is louder because it uses a smaller, higher-powered fan. More rpms means more 'whine'."
You said "If you cover up most of your PC's vents then internal temperature will rise, temperature differential between heat sync and air drops, and the fan will need to operate at RPM to get the same cooling. "
You're just agreeing with me. Higher rpms = more sound. That was the point I made in the very first post. You however have not answered how more space = quieter.
