That's a bit of a blanket statement but yeah respect the police and they will respect you in return.  Do u have any idea the amount of shit they deal with on a daily basis?  Their job requires them to deal with shit heads every day and put their well being on the line.  If you or any of these cop haters had any idea then maybe you would show a little respect.

It makes their conduct understandable, but not excusable. Just because you have a tough job doesn't mean you get to be racists, corrupt, or trigger-happy screaming nuts (and in the case of Ferguson PD, none of this is hyperbole, sadly)

There are a few bad apples in all professions, however the vast majority of police officers are not any of those things.  I urge you to look at all the facts released, remove any biases, then form your own opinion.  It's way too easy in today's media crazed world to jump on and ride the wave of ignorance.
