You don't have to be rude or sarcastic in your tone. It's not like this discussion is causing you (or shouldn't be at least) a massive headache. That being said, do you have any proof that they were specifically talking about QoL when they mentioned the merger idea? I read that stuff when it was brand new and I don't recall there being a mention of QoL. Is that an implication you derived from said article?

Also, even if that is all that statement was meant to imply at the time doesn't mean that is all Nintendo would ever consider.

I think its pretty clear what iwata said and what he didn't.

Sorry if i was too harsh, but when people spread misinformation about nintendo, it really get on my nerves because them they start to use flawed arguments that make nintendo fans look stupid, and this is not really a good thing.

Besides,acquiring a big studio don't seems like something nintendo would do. Myamoto said some times that hiring more people is not the answer to producing more games, that people need to instruced and educated on how to make nintendo games, and this can't be done with big hirings.

There is nothing anywhere that is really saying Nintendo is looking to acquire or merge with anything gaming or non-gaming specifically.  The only thing they said specifically was that they were buying back stock in preperation for mergers or acquisitions.  This could be anything, and we are free to speculate on what it may be.  Gaming is more fun.
