Is 2014 really that bad gaming-wise? (HIGHLY subjective content insde)

You're just proving my point. 2012 was seriously lacking on the "big AAA hyped games" department. The fact that a point-and-click game won most GOTY awards (and an indie game with no genre got the remaining GOTY awards) speaks numbers about that year. I'm not saying The Walking Dead or Journey don't deserve it, but the competition was... lacking that year.

HOWEVER, much like this year, there were also plenty of good, smaller games that year. I'm not talking indies here either. Like I said, we all see the big AAA titles as the termometer for the WHOLE YEAR. When it just doesn't work like that.

Whatever your point was, 2012 was weaker than 2014. You just agreed with me.

Well, I guess I did. But 2012 wasn't a BAD year either...
