I was going to say not every game needs to be AAA, but you already adressed that yourself. I don't think the Ratchet games on PS3 were all that good though. I'm not saying that the big studios should make such games, but why not a smaller studio? It's too hard for them to compete with the bigger developers with the same type of games anyway. Might as well make something that isn't oversaturated and is cheaper/faster to develop. |
I like R&C games and have most, but yes they aren't fantastic, just solid good games... set to sell on 500k-1M and that is what it should get for the games I played.
Well Ubisoft is a big publisher and people are complaining about bad support from it, EA, Acti and other big ones... but yes big publishers could fund smaller games from smaller teams with budget on check and sell decent number on all plat (it is possible to make a game that limits itself to WiiU technical capabilities but looks good and is multiplatform. I'm just not sure it would sell great on WiiU because aint exclusive ninty sw and if by looking like or playing like something on WiiU how it would do on PS4/X1)... but of coure I would love to see more B, A games being released by under 40 dollars but not being indie.
