We get the difference. On ad you overhype a product and on reveal of concept you show what you will deliver.

Have forza allowed people to simulate a pit stop as show in the TV ad or scan your skate and play with it in any skating game or use a rl pistol to play cod?

one forms a potential contract with a buyer and one doesnt.

its basic legal principles and why they have been fined.

its very, very, very simple.

I see, Sony ad is a form of contract but ms ad aint? Seems coherent.

But I go back to the lying portion, since no one is complaining of Sony being sued. But you claimed they deserve it because they lied to sell a product, but for MS you invent apologies, ok then. I don't think discussing this further with you will add anything.

But there is a difference between a press conference/interview and an advertisement. If there is an advertisement where MS lied then they can be sued just like all other corporations.

If someone is talking about their product they made and telling others what the future looks like then its fine if some things are missing or aren't followed through on. But when an advertisement is televised or marketed to people displaying the capabilities but don't actually exist or aren't followed through with then that company is going to get sued.
