Did GameSpot go too far with this "Is It Time To Buy An Xbox One" video?

The other thing to note is that a lot of the great developers are also being snatched up by currently successful game developers like Naughty Dog.  I have also read articles where these game developers are creating new studios, which seem to be the indie developers nowadays.

The only thing that I can see Microsoft doing in the future is by winning over some of the indie developers that will make games exclusively for the XB1.  

 

There are news about companys cutting staff and development studios being closed down every other day. Irrational Games is an example. Grab these people before they form an indie company, makes a hit and you have to pay 2.5 billion dollars for them...

You are completely right.  I have absolutely no clue why Microsoft doesn't snatch up these studios before they close down.  Its a shame really to see people lose their jobs when the second richest company sits back and shells out 2.5 billion dollars on a game thats already out!

I am all for new and interesting games even though I wouldn't get the chance to play them since I game on Playstation consoles.  New games lead to new ideas and future ways of playing video games.  When I look at a stuido like Insomniac, with their new Sunset Overdrive game, I see a group of guys that sat down who wanted to make a fun, colorful, funny, and overall enjoyable game.  

THATS what gaming is all about.  Creating new experiences regardless of what gaming device it comes out on.
