Defend yourself, but don't become the aggressor. Everyone has the right to defend themselves, but it's your responsibility to maintain some level of self control. If an officer arrives, and you've got some scratches, and she's got a broken arm or a black eye, who's going to jail?
Best case scenario: you.
Worst case: you and her.
either way, you lose.
