As for why some of these people want Nintendo fail, some of these are analysts who have spent the past several years selling their opinions as "predictions." They opinion? Consoles are dying, mobile is the future of all, freemium power, blahblahblah. And now, with MS and Sony succeding, they need some means of salvaging their asinine "predictions," and what better than an object lesson. Now, Nintendo represents the antithesis of what they think should succeed: "casual" games (*sigh* such an inaccurate, thrown around, buzzword term) on dedicated devices, dedicated handhelds, very traditional take on consoles in the functionality sense (Nintendo doesn't do the media center thing to nearly the same degree as MS and Sony). These analysts make money on being right more often then wrong and a successful Nintendo would make them look like jackasses. Therefore, a failed Nintendo works to their advantage. In short, they want Nintendo to fail so they can be right so they can make more money. Of, course, this is just a theory.
