I guess it's because I've never seen a game console left there to be recycled and I'm usually in this Best Buy 1-2 times a week. Just kinda ... I dunno. Sad. 

Well that's true although it does have no resale value and maybe its broken. I've seen a couple of PS2's thrown away like that as well.
