I play a large majority of my games on easy/casual mode.
I played all Halo games on easy, and pretty much every game I have played, if I see an easy mode, I will play it. The only games I don't play Easy, are the NHL games (All-Star/Superstar difficulty). And I would love it if Pokemon had a harder difficulty. The only time I'll play on a harder mode is if it requires it for some achievement/trophy. See Infamous SS, KoAR, and a slew of others.
For me personally, I don't get much satisfaction from beating games on hard difficulties. Life is hard enough as it is, why would I make my games harder than I would want. I just prefer being able to breeze through most games without having to die, or restart.
Hell, who knows, it could be some psychological fear of failure that I project to video games from real life....
