I believe Microsoft is more concerned with flipping a profit. Xbox One just needs to make money, and it seems the console is finally looking favorable by consumers. Meanwhile at Sony they are just hoping they can still afford the electricity bill.
Besides 3rd party games are the money makers and console sellers. First party is just used to differentiate the two.
