To be fair I can't imagine this gen being any shorter than the last. We'll probably still be seeing PS4s and Xbones on shelves in like 2022.

I actually see this gen being much shorter than last. PS360 were equivalent to higer end computers of their time. They also had complex system architcture(Cell and PowerPC) which helped spread the power of the machine over a long gen. This gen PS4Bone are equavalent to mid end computers and have very familiar architcture(x86) so they will get tapped/maxed out quicker.

While I cant speculate on how long the machines will be produced but I think we will see new machines from both parties by 2018/9.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
