10. Victor Sullivan (Uncharted)
The <Ladies man> and the only reason Nathan is still alive after all these years.
9. Dominic Santiago (Gears of War)
Second Player. Loyal friend. Fought for what he cared about. Also his beard was badass on the third game.
8. Hal “Otacon” Emmerich (Metal Gear Solid 4)
Probably the greatest character in the Metal Gear Solid franchise. The games would have never been the same without his codec conversations and his lost love.
7. Frank West (Dead Rising)
He’s covered wars, y’know. He also made the departure of the classic “beautiful Japanese” Capcom protagonist for a zombie game.
6. Raven (Tales of Vesperia)
What seems to be the most simple character of the cast, ends up being one of the most interesting of the whole game. Also, his victory quotes and skits convos are the best of the best.
5. Garrus Vakarian (Mass Effect)
He, plus the one that comes next, is the proof that Bioware may not be good at writing endings, but they sure as hell know how to do a memorable character.
4. Alistair Theirin (Dragon Age: Origins)
This is probably one of the best support characters ever created in Bioware’s History. Faithful, loyal, and the only one who doesn’t leave your group (unless you’re very, very mean to him close to the endgame).
3. Erica Anderson (Catherine)
Probably the best character of the game due to her happy-go-lucky but insightful persona, and often the main support of Vincent in his worst moments of despair. Her sexuality is handled in a very mature way, too.
2. Norman Jayden (Heavy Rain)
I loved how socially awkward this dude is. I loved how he’s the only one in Heavy Rain who is surrounded by jerks and has no real support character at his side unlike Ethan, Madison or Scott. I also loved how little luck Jayden seems to have. And finally, I love how he’s the character people in HR seems to care less about, yet he cares a lot about everyone else.
1.Francis York Morgan (Deadly Premonition)
“Right, Zach?” was not only the catchphrase throughout the game, but also the realization of how important York was to a certain someone, and how he changed the lives of everyone else, for better. His smooth persona and his silver tongue also grants him the no.1 spot on my list.
