Most teens feel they need to do it. Trying to act more adult by getting in relationships that are never going to work. Doing things that are simply degrading and bringing their self-respect down cause they feel they have to.
Being that age is the same as being adult, as your still trying to find someone you want to spend your life with. However its not required to have someone, and more than likely you won't find someone at that age. It's alright to date around a few people for "practice"(although I hate that cause you can really fuck with someone's emotions by doing that), but trust me if something gets serious, your most likely kidding yourself.
You'll know when you find someone that you really want to get serious with so yea.
