I've never played a good KoF player, probably because it's a shit button masher that no one plays, but as for Tekken: my brother is a decent player. He's played a few tournaments and can beat a few lower level pros. His buddy, a greese monkey who doesn't play video games, has beaten him 4 out of 10 matches by mashing with Lilly. True story.
Also, I never said Melee was a "serious fighting game".
