#42: Rayman Origins (Ubisoft, 2011) - PC (also available on PS3, X360, Wii, Vita and 3DS)

When I first laid my eyes on Rayman Origins, it sure grabbed my attention, but playing it was a whole different story. I believe I've beaten this game in a day or two, I just couldn't get enough of it. The gameplay was so fluid and fast-paced, it was intoxicating. The control is TOP-NOTCH, Rayman controls beautifully. And the soundtrack - while not something I hear casually - compliments the game PERFECTLY. And also, look at that screenshot. You'd think that's like concept art or something, but no, that's how the actual game looks like! I'd be perfectly happy if every single 2D game used this engine
