Nina Ek

Time passed and Nina remained patient for what was to come. Basic needs were met with food provided at regular intervals. Mid morning one of walls became transparent and Nina turn to have her eyes meet a man's sitting in a chair. His legs were crossed and he had a clip board laying across them. He wore a smart suit and a bit of a smirk as his pale green eyes were fixed on her.

"Shall we begin?" his low smooth voice broke the tension. His accent was hard for her to place, it felt crisp and charming with a hint of a threat.

He continued despite her lack of response, "Nina, I know a great deal about you and your gifts. Quite extraordinary young woman, and I am not easily impressed. You struggle to reach the planes with your gifts in here, don't you?"

Nina squinted as questions raced through her mind, who was this man and how did he know such things?

"Of course you are, my doing after all. Need to keep everyone separate for our work here. You should know now how alone and helpless you are. We could kill you at any moment, so why haven't we?" he smiled making lines on his tight pale skin.

"You need something." Nina replied flatly.

"Very good deduction Miss Ek, may we move on to the heart of the matter then?"

Nina had no choice, she would hear the man out.

"Good. My name is Arthur and we are going to be very useful to one another."
