The very good developers will try to push both PS4 and XOne, and you will have 1080p always on PS4, but not always on XOne.

You may wish to re-word that.
Thus far...
Assasins Creed: Unity, Battlefield 4, The Witcher 3, Watch Dogs are all 900P on the playstation 4.

So that makes... DICE, CD Projekt Red, Ubisoft Montreal in the "Not very good developers list".

There are more to add to that list as there are a few games that will/have "Dynamic Resolution" like Wolfenstein and Killzone.
That adds Machine Games and Guerilla games onto that list of bad, naughty developers.

Or, they "advertise" 1080P, but don't actually have the full horizontal pixel count.
Trine 2 also drops to 720P when using 3D.

Or some games choose to have a reduced resolution for asthetic reasons like
the evil within with it's strange 1920x768 resolution.

Always 1080P? Well, sorry, but that chance has gone for all the consoles. Lol.
You just have to put up with what the developers and hardware can dish out, I'm afraid.

They already do? Talk like that just makes you sound ignorant. Here, have some info and make of it what you will. Taken from Steam.

  • ~50% of Steam users are using less 4GB of CPU RAM or less
  • ~88% are using CPUs with 4 cores or less
  • ~75% are using GPUs with less than 2GB or RAM
  • ~95% are using monitors/displays with 1080p or less
But somehow, consoles (PS4/XB1) are limiting PCs? I think some PC gamers aren't actually being very realistic. They don't seem to realize that even within their platform they are a very vocal minority. They seem to take what is "possible" with PCs as the norm. But thats all so far from the truth its not even funny.

Alright, I'll bite.
Steam has 100~ million users, adding another 25 million in under 9 months. (Not even the Playstation 4 and Xbox One combined has that kind of growth rate.)

There are 41.55% of Steam users with 8Gb or more of Ram, that's 41 million PC gamers with the same/more Ram than the Playstation 4, like it even matters the PS4's OS is more memory hungry than Windows, so there is less available out of that "8Gb" for games.

CPU core counts are irrellevant, a high-clocked Haswell Core i3 Dual-Core processor is faster than the 8-core console Jaguar processor, heck the Pentium: Anniversary at 4.7ghz will beat the 8-core Jaguar processors, that's a dual-core without hyper threading!

GPU VRAM amount is again, irrellevant, PC has a different memory hierachy to that of the consoles, you can't do a like-to-like comparison to the consoles on this point.

95% use 1080P or less? Sure, I'll give you that. But that's still better than the Playstation 4/Xbox One's 100%.
As an aside, there was a combined 0.04% increase in 2560x1080, 2560x1440, 2560x1600 panel uptake over a single month, that's almost about 400,000 thousand users taking up those resolutions in a month.

PC as a minitory? Not yet they aren't, still a bigger gaming environment than the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Xbox One or Playstation 4, our exclusives even have more players and make more money.

If you wan't 1080P/60fps or better (Like 1440P/144fps) across all titles the games that aren't console exclusive or that still didn't released because they are extremely late ports, like GTA V and maybe even Destiny, then there is only one platform that can achieve it.

Hahaha, I was waiting for you in this thread! But I fixed it for you!

Though, having played Destiny... That was a bore fest, it smells like Halo, but there wasn't any toppings.
GTA 5, I am glad to have millions of Beta testers before the PC's release in January, looking forward to the mods too. (PC GTA 4 looks better than Playstation 4's GTA 5, for instance.)

Do you know that the emulator is in super early stages and can barely reach title screens, right? If "soon" is some years in the future, then you are correct.

And yet, many said it was impossible thanks to the powah and complexity of the Cell.
Yet they wen't from nothing to "Early Playable stages" in under a year.
It's also open source and developing faster than the Xbox 360 emulator, once it gains traction in the open source community...

Still, the point stands, eventually you can play TLOU on PC, but you will never be able to play Star Citizen.
