GTA V is also selling definitively better on the PS4. We had a big rush of people picking up the console with that game. The price cut helped convince a lot of people that were on the fence right at the beginning of the month, but at this point... We'll have to see exactly how BF goes. I can't call it either way. |
If it wasn't a price war the PS4 wouldn't be throwing in free games this Holiday. I mean what would be the point if they were still outselling in a rate you mentioned. You don't lower prices or add free games for the hell of it. Or dig in to your profits.

Black Friday is the epitome of competition - no brand, product and/or store have sales and discounts for the heck of it, particularly for Blaxk Friday - they so it because that is the time all the brands, products and retailers are making the best effort they need to stay competitive for the biggest shopping time of the year
If they did not feel the need to offer discounts to remain competitive on Black fri they would not do so
