That's are usually in reference to WW sales, not the US. It's not doomed, but outside of the US and the UK the X1 sales are pretty poor. The only point of praise you can give it (sales wise) in other regions is that it's not the WiiU :p

It also depends how they defined their use of 'doom'. People tend to throw the word around like candy, with it sometimes simply being uses in reference to the X1 having little chance of winning the gen; which certainly seems to be true (based on the data we have, anyway).
