don't follow the consoles. follow the games.

You can't really provide better advice than this line when it comes to which platform to choose.

Have you not heard that 1080p is 10x better than 720blurryp.?

Actually, 1080P is only 2.25x better than 720P.
720P = 921,600 pixels.
1080P = 2,073,600 pixels.

And here I am, gaming at 7680x1440 which is 11,059,200 pixels. #PCMASTERRACE

Did you know that PS4's GPU has like all these extra TFLOPS compared to xbox one?

The Playstation 4's Graphics Processing Unit does not have one single "TFLOP" more than the Xbox One.
Only half a Teraflop more.

There has been 100s of threads arguing these points.

Indeed, I enjoy them. :)

Since the Xbox 360/Playstation 3 generation though, there has been significantly less distinctive differences between various platforms, aside from minor, insignificant graphical differences of course.
Heck, Sony/Microsoft even share the majority of the exact same games library on their respective platforms.

In the end, the only choice you should make is which exclusive AAA titles are you interested in most? Then go for that system that they are released on.
And if ever in doubt... Buy the PC version, it's cheaper. ;)
