Which system made a better come back after being an initial disappointment?

That's not a bad thing in some cases, with the Wii, motion controls were shoehorned in to a lot of good games that didn't need them. Something like Donkey Kong TF does not need gamepad support other than off tv play. Nintendo are rectifying lack of gamepad use by building games centred around that device, something they should have done from the beginning to compliment Nintendo land.
