That's not how it works. The Last of Us being a new game justifies the high price. It's unrealistic to expect Sony to release the Remaster for cheaper price than the PS3 version.

Though It would've been nice if they offered an upgrade discount for those who own the PS3 version.

That IS how that works: upscale a game and add a photo mode while it's still only been out a fresh year and charge a full game price?!  I can't really see that as being justified in any way except to cash in on its "masterpiece reviews" and popularity... :/
