You seem to be misunderstanding what reviews are for. First and foremost they're services to the consumer to help with purchase decisions. They're NOT to stroke some gamer's or developer's ego. So they need to reflect the product at its launch because that's when consumer interest is at its highest.
To mention that a game might improve later or even to do another review when the game is patched is at the discretion of the reviewer. That's why people should only trust and follow reviewers they know.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
