I don't think you read, or you'd see that the failure rate is .88%, the REPLACEMENT rate is 2-4%. Like I said, this article has nothing to do with the PS3, and should not be used as a representation of PS3 failure rates.

 


You just mentioned the failure rate in that post. It's relevant to 360 and PS3.

That study was done about server harddrives, which don't use the same drive that are in the 360 and PS3. That study doesn't tell what vendors they are from, what type of drives, or specific uses.

Like I said, this article cannot be used as a representation for PS3 (or 360) failure rates.
