Depends. On its own - probably, though highly subjective; put into context of 1886 - original is better, specially in that other screenshot I played with.

Anyway, the whole point was to show that you can easily have vibrant colors even in games that don't look anyway near that and that art designers color grade picture the way they do on purpose - not everything needs to look like it's part of TV commercial for hair products.
