Me personally, I get bored quickly with open world games. I've always liked linear styled gaming. Only exception is with RPGs and even they can sometimes be linear if they choose to close off specific areas unless some objective is completed first. Im eagerly awaiting my linear games like The Order and Until Dawn. |
i enjoy a good game, doesnt matter if its linear or open world. however, i usually find that linear games are more polished and have better set pieces than open world games. they just can focus more on a small area and give you something amazing, then focus on a big area and give you something great. and until dawn isnt linear persey, considering it has multiple endings and you chose your own actions.
i love red dead redemption, i also love GoW and uncharted. deducting point of a game because of a design choice is the stupidest thing ever, yet it already happened with games like driveclub.
