You know what really bugs me the more I think about it. Is when nintendo cancels something like this everyone talks about Nintendo's high standards. But they only seem to have high standards when it comes to mature action titles/sports games. They expect these games to be perfect, but when it comes to everyone/party games these standards go right out the window, how did Wii Play get released in it's condition? How about Mario Party? How are they not worried about tarnishing their biggest mascots name in that game? It's like they are saying we love party games so who cares if they suck! This is honestly why Nintendo has a difficult time with all is western 2nd parties, heck even Rare had a hard time with them, I read in an interview with one of the guys who worked on goldeneye and he said there was a bunch of times they came close to canning it. Raven Blade was canceled a realistic racing game, baseball and football title was cancelled, alont with a destruction derby title all by retro, Metroid Prime and Goldeneye were almost cancelled. other realistic sports titled were cancelled, I bet they wouldn't have been if they just dumped Mario and co. in it.
Now I love Nintendo, so I 'm not trying to come off as bias or anything, but it just frustrates me when they completely ignore portions of the market. Please it took fans years of beging to get another Metroid, I can't believe they are talking about another Mario Kart when people have been dying for another entry to Kid Icirus. It's like hello Nintendo listen to your fans every once in a while.
